From April - September, the museum leads workshops during Hillsborough's Last Fridays Art Walk. We also regularly direct family-friendly activities at the Fairview Community Park (Spanish & English).
Teachers, bring your class to the museum for any of our programs or have us come to you! (Restrictions may apply)
The museum's Heritage Education program is NC Curriculum-based and can be adapted for groups K-5. Each program lasts ~45 minutes, and can be done in a single morning or afternoon visit to the museum.
We can even bring the Colonial Quilt Program, Jr. Curator Programs, Mill Life Program, and Reenactment Program to you!
To plan your class visit, call (919) 732-2201.
Current Available Programs:
Life as a Revolutionary Soldier Jr. Curator, Native American Artifact Colonial Quilt Civil War Soldier Jr. Curator, Life as a Mill Worker

The Traveling Trunks program allows teachers and group leaders to get hands-on activities and specially designed lesson plans in their classrooms. They are also ideal for scout groups, churches, and after-school programs. Rent one of the Traveling Trunks for two weeks at a cost of $10.
